Yeah, very true. The OMG has specified UML 2 but has not yet finally specified 
MOF 2. It's like building a new train without building the railway in time. :-(



By the way, UML 2 will require MOF 2 will require a new JMI, which does not yet 
exist, either. :-(



There will be a successor of JMI which will be called JIM - rumours say that it 
will not be specified by the JCP but by the OMG. So, we'll all probably have to 
wait for "an extended period of time" (as the earlier Microsoft operating 
systems used to say).



In the meantime, let's stick to UML 1 and MOF 1 and JMI 1, this combination 
works, and, for the typical class of problems, it even rocks!
