It will never support roundtrip-engineering, that's what togetherj does (having your java code in your model...and that isn't MDA)...since MDA abstracts us away from the implementation, it would be a huge amount of effort to try to provide code2model for every platform, and pointless, since your model should be the primary artifact. I could see an instance where someone might want to read into the model the existing code of a system and have an initial model provided (like schema2xmi does), but other than that it wouldn't be worth it.
If an external programmer is in love with jDeveloper, or something, can he contribute to our MDA projects? From

hmm, ... why not ? what have you seen ? how does MDA relate to an IDE ?
the only thing I can think of is that you need a decent UML tool, what programming editors are concerned there is no restriction
