It must have been something on my system. I did the "maven clean jar:install"
on the core as you suggested (which built), then tried to build the cartridge
again. Got some OTHER error. tried "maven clean jar:install" on the
cartridge, and still a problem. Frustrated, I toasted the entire directory,
unzipped the downloaded source release, and THEN tried to build both. This
time, success. :?

So, it was my machine. I'm a bit concerned now that the "clean" commands did
NOT clean enough as to fix something? Anyway, hard to tell, as I've been
fumbling around for a while now. I'm getting the hang of it, however!

Final question: I followed the instructions on the home page about using Maven
to get the AndroMDA maven plug-in in the first place. I've now downloaded this
"3.1 M1" release, and built IT. Do I have to do anything special to insure
that an arbitrary maven command on a project uses this NEW code? How does the
maven plug-in determine WHICH version of AndroMDA its using?

Thanks for the help (and the quick response!)
