thanks guys, I was looking at the wrong bug http://galaxy.andromda.org/jira/browse/BPM-200 which said it was fixed dupe of 39.
Anyhow, I don't have any opinion as to whether or not the Boolean should be allowed or not. Problem is that the apache guys seem to have made their mind up that Boolean isn't allowed.
