If you download something like winzip (some graphical zip explorer)..you can 
just open the zip file delete the existing ones and copy the new ones over 
(when you're done with your changes).  You can also just do 
-Dmaven.test.skip=true (if you want to skip the tests).  



The reason we keep them in a zip is because some of the output gets fairly 
large (lots of files)..this way we're not checking in more than we need to into 
CVS.
