setFirstResult() is a thing we need right now. I don't know all capabilities of Hibernate Criteria interface to ask for more at this point. As far as I can understand this is just a matter of enhancing velocity templates responsible for generation of Criteria and criteria search methods. The reason I'm asking for time horizon of such improvments is that we can try to add those things on our own ;-) but don't want to waste time on things that are being "repaired" by you.
