you might want to toggle it back off .. it seems XHTML and JavaScript don't go 
that well together



I'm not sure what to do, but in simple HTML mode I wrap javascript in HTML 
comments, just in case the browser would not be able to read it, in XHTML mode 
I wrap it in CDATA sections



perhaps I should just assume Javascript is enabled on all browsers, since it's 
used anyway ? that way I could drop the wrapping stuff and the problem you had 
would no longer appear
