Ok, now it is getting clearer. But what I am not getting here is how can we fill the values of a combo with an object from the domain layer if we have to use a String or Long. Then your page variable will transmit one value and not a possible list of values. As in the example I gave above, you will need to manually copy the classes (chemistry, biology, physics,etc) in you presentation layer from the domain. For now I did as you said but no combo box is rendered.
