Hi folks,

I'm wondering if perhaps the page...

... wasn't edited too hastily.

In the section ...

Quote:
Overriding cartridge resources
(end of quote)

It says ...
Quote:
Easy to do: just specify a mergeLocation when declaring the
cartridge-dependency and put the replacement-files in that directory
(end of quote)

If we are overriding as the title suggests, why do we need a "mergeLocation"?
Especially considering that the next section is entitled ...
Quote:
Merging cartridge resources
(end of quote)

Wouldn't "overrideLocation" be a better name?

I see that it says
Quote:
... specify a mergeLocation when declaring the cartridge-dependency...
(end of quote)

But, contradicting, it says
Quote:
you will need to do that in <your-project>/mda/conf/andromda.xml
(end of quote)

I see no places to resolve cartridge dependencies in andromda.xml, although I
do see them in /mda/project.xml

Even more confusing is<namespace name="bpm4struts">

     <properties>

         <property
name="mergeLocation">${maven.src.dir}/cartridge/custom</property>

     </properties>

</dependency>

Does the xml tag begin correctly with <namespace or end correctly with
</dependency>

Whatever is the correct way, (I've tried both) I can't seem to override/merge
my Enumeration.vsl with the java cartridge.

Can anyone help?

What is the correct location for the file?

Do I want to merge or override?

Do I use mergeLocation or mergeMappingsUri?

Do I put it in mda/project.xml or mda/conf/andromda.xml?

Do I put it between <namespace> tags or <dependency> tags?

Hasan
