Quote: In any case, the real point was whether some move towards java 5 support in andromda would be reasonable. (end of quote)
If someone steps up and wants to support it, thats fine, but currently none of us has the time to add that support (or maintain it). I don't particularly want to add stuff to the templates to supress warnings in eclipse (you can always do that locally by merging in your own custom template if you wanted). We'll eventually move to generating Java 5 code and then users wanting 1.4 and below will need to customize the templates themselves. I don't think we'll ever have a flag to switch it on and off for the default cartridges, it would become a maintainance nightmare in my opinion. -- Chad Brandon - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.andromda.org _________________________________________________________ Reply to the post : http://galaxy.andromda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3903#3903 Posting to http://forum.andromda.org/ is preferred over posting to the mailing list! ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Andromda-user mailing list Andromda-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/andromda-user
