If someone steps up and wants to support it, thats fine, but currently none of 
us has the time to add that support (or maintain it).  I don't particularly 
want to add stuff to the templates to supress warnings in eclipse (you can 
always do that locally by merging in your own custom template if you wanted). 



We'll eventually move to generating Java 5 code and then users wanting 1.4 and 
below will need to customize the templates themselves.  I don't think we'll 
ever have a flag to switch it on and off for the default cartridges, it would 
become a maintainance nightmare in my opinion.
