in fact, AndroMDA is known to work with several other UML tools too, there's just a known problem when it comes to activity graphs: not all tools support event parameters with tagged values and stereotypes etc... so far many different tools prove to work fine, as long as you stick to the static part of the UML model (class diagrams, classes, etc...)
the basic idea is right though, MagicDraw is the only tool we've found to provide all the necessary features (well, almost all, AssociationClasses aren't supported) and in such a way that is very easy to work with for users if some other tool would popup, or would be improved we'll do our best to make sure users who prefer to work with that one will have an optimal experience ps: (about the tutorial you read) this document wasn't written by an AndroMDA developer, so his statements could be a bit off -- Wouter Zoons - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.andromda.org/ _________________________________________________________ Reply to the post : http://galaxy.andromda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3917#3917 Posting to http://forum.andromda.org/ is preferred over posting to the mailing list! ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Andromda-user mailing list Andromda-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/andromda-user
