I was going to, but I missed the deadline. I read the deadline as May 12, which I took to be midnight GMT or California time. Turns out it was 1900 UTC (noon in California), which is when I sat down to start working on it.
So, the lesson for this year is, read the GSoC timeline and note the deadlines very carefully.
I'm really sorry about this, I will look for related projects when the post the list of accepted organizations and do what little I can to find projects for people interested in OE and Angstrom.
