Here is a 2011.03 image
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/builder/deploy/beagleboard/c11cdf/random-8b8ba79d-image-beagleboard.tar.gz

It had the same problem of not booting to the console.

The beagleboard doesn't have a "stable" option. It has 2011.03,
core-eglibc and next. I also tried "simple" with the same results.
