Hi
This is my first time posting so, sorry if this is in the wrong list or
is already described somewhere.
I am also a linux newbie, so please bear with me if my understanding of
things are wrong, I just want to learn.
I used the instructions posted on
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom to build a
console-image for the beagleboard-XM.
I had a problem where after logging in successfully the first time,
after a reboot or power cycle I would get a login error: "Cannot
make/remove an entry for the specified session". After a search on the
internet I got a workaround for this issue by editing
/etc/pam.d/common-session and commenting out "session required
pam_systemd.so"
The problem I have is that I built this exact same image about three
months ago(or well so I thought) and everything worked fine, but
obviously I have a misconception about how the version schemes work. I
built v2012.05 three months ago and this time I also built v2012.05 but
there is a obvious difference between the two builds.
If someone could please help me understand the philosophy of the
branches or versions, because I thought that v2012.05 was a stable
release and should have stayed the same? Or maybe they did stay the same
but I had some finger trouble on my side in recreating the image.
Any help/links regarding the above would be greatly appreciated.
