Alan you might need to (or want to?) do a bitbake -c clean on some of
those things to help force a rebuild. I came across that comment in
images/beagleboard/README_-_DO_NOT_DELETE_FILES_IN_THIS_DIRECTORY.txt
I don't know enough to tell you if that's needed/useful or not, but
there it is anyway! :-)

Thanks, I see in there where it does the install.
Oddly, we tried to do a "bitbake -c deploy virtual/kernel" and it
didn't create that tarball...so not sure why...
As a test I'm building a systemd image to see if it builds the modules
tarball, which I believe it will...
Is there a command to pass to bitbake that will build and deploy that
tarball? I didn't try the deploy on my machine, my boss tried that.
