I was unable to bitbake the 2.6.29 kernel and after several hours of digging I was unable to get it to work, although it just could be my inexperience with how all this is setup. It couldn't find libgcc.a for the compressed kernel code and I didn't want to spend time on what appeared to be a broken recipe / code set. I'm sure someone who has a better understanding of how this is all glued together would have better luck finding the issue.
I regressed to the 2.6.21 - handhelds.org kernel and was able to complete the bake. setup-scripts/sources/meta-handheld/conf/machine/h3600.conf: #PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel = "linux" PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel = "linux-handhelds-2.6" There are a series of patches that targeted the 2.6.29 kernel that I may be able to recode for the 2.6.21 kernel. If this works would it be possible to regress it permanently? So it builds for those that may be interested in using it but are disgusted with the current state of the angstrom distribution? This is a build that doesn't appear in narcissus but I know worked as of Familiar 0.8.4 using the kernel from handhelds.org. A response isn't required. Its presented as keyword rich so at least this will appear for others who may be searching for this information online. :D -Matt _______________________________________________ Angstrom-distro-devel mailing list Angstrom-distro-devel@linuxtogo.org http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/angstrom-distro-devel
