Well, I donno about instructions for the 5500, but the comparison of installation ease and success between Angstrom and pdaXrom was night and day for me. I have been told that it is "nearly" impossible to brick a Zaurus through software alone, but... I nearly succeeded trying to install the latest pdaXrom. I found the files needed to restore the Sharp rom from http://www.trisoft.de. With that I was able to try again, and again... But it looks like there is nothing for the 5500. Before you proceed, try to find backup Sharp roms, since installing Angstrom will overwrite it. -- David L.
