This is odd. I have a 3100, and upgraded the distribution on 7/7 or
7/8, then shifted to e17 in response to suggestions here on 7/9, and I
did not see that bug. So, either the e17 version was changed on 7/9
after I downloaded it (which was around 11 am EDT), and the problem only
occurred with that version, or there was some change in the rest of the
distro that caused the problem. My menubar is fine, and changing the
screen does the right stuff.
At the moment I certainly do not want to upgrade....
