If you give up the ipkg package management, you can use all-in-one.

Well, I failed to install skype on Zaurus because the N800 I had did not
contain the latest ROM with needed proprietary libraries, so my
assumption may be incorrect. But it seems to me, that Angstrom libraries
are compatible with Nokia ones, so I guess that both use very probably
the same base libraries.

Note that some posts on forums indicate that the same is valid for
TomTom navigation devices.

Chroot is a bad choice for embedded devices, since it doubles memory
requirements, but it may be the only chance to run OABI binaries
(e. g. binaries for Poodle).
