Hey, I downladed 2007.12-r9 and ran it on my poodle. For the most part, very happy! This new kernel gives SDHC support which is very very nice! I also appreciate the fixed backlight control (not sure if this was a kernel issue or not, but the screen no longer shuts off completely when adjusting brightness :) ). Oh and framebuffer output works now for mplayer, which gives a very noticeable fps improvement! One thing I noticed is that the RTC doesn't seem to keep running while the system is in standby. When booting, I get the message:
hw clock: could not acces RTC, no such file or directory Cheers Marlon ---------------------------------------- > Date: Fri, 7 Mar 2008 10:48:02 -0800 > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: angstrom-distro-users@linuxtogo.org; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Angstrom-distro-users] Poodle kernel 2.6.23 images available from > the angstrom stable branch > > Hi, > > If you want to help out your machine mentors by testing kernel 2.6.23 > for poodle, grab a 2007.12-r9 image from > http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/autobuild/ , install it > and tell us all about it. > > Zaurus users should download the 'installkit' tarballs and will find > the updater.sh, zImage.bin and rootfs file ready for flashing inside. > > happy testing, > > -- > Henry von Tresckow (hvontres) > > (shamelesly copied from koen) > _______________________________________________ > Angstrom-distro-users mailing list > Angstrom-distro-users@linuxtogo.org > http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/angstrom-distro-users _________________________________________________________________ At a loss for words?
