   That is the actual statement in the /boot/labrun file, right? And the
 CF card is formatted to ext2, then the
Angstrom-minimalist-gpe-image-glibc-ipk-2007.12-h2200.rootfs.tar.gz
untarred onto it, and the above file copied or written into the /boot
dir on that card?
    That sure should work -- does on my h2200. Or I do it on a SD card,
both seem to work equally well.
    So, maybe you should try redoing the LAB, making sure it actually
finished installing before you rest. Did if fail the checksum? Mine did,
but it still worked. But maybe you should try that again.
    But as anxious as I was to put familiar (and then angstrom) on my
h2200, I waited until I had a serial cable, since I really hate doing
stuff like that without being able to see what is actually happening.
   Still and all -- from my little experiment using minicom with the usb
cradle the other day, I don't know why that won't work.
