You need a special patch to the driver - the socket chip has a built in phy 
with a bug. I submitted this against the akita zaurus kernel, but should work 
on anything. Note I did not write the patch, just found it submitted to the 
pcmcia mailing list.

This is for the axnet_cs.ko module.
