64MB RAM recommended, with 32MB you can get problems. More ram is bonus. 
With 256MB Flash you have lot of space.

If your device can boot from nand then Ångström will work. With 8MB 
Dataflash + 256MB nand I would keep u-boot and kernel in dataflash and 
rootfs in nand.
