Is this the only way ? I don't have git. Can someone please answer my ...
Questions: Is the kernel source tree for the angstrom linux kernel different to the standard kernel sources that I can get from www.kernel.org ? If Yes: Where can I download the complete kernel sources or patches ? Are there mandatory patches to be applied to the standard kernel to make things "work at all" ? If No: Where can I get a .config file for my target (Akita) to be used by "make menuconfig" ? Do I need to take special care of the contents in the kernel command line during kernel compilation (definition of CONFIG_CMDLINE in .config)? Which GCC version is needed to (cross-)compile the 2.6.x kernel series ? Is the gcc version 3.4.6 known to produce bootable binary kernel images or do I need to install a newer or special gcc version that is known to work ? I have installed the 2.95.3 and 3.4.6 toolchain for crosscompiling. Thanks in advance Best Regards Thomas Pantzer
