Maybe try the one : http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/images/tosa/Angstrom-altboot-console-image-glibc-ipk-2007.12-r8-tosa.rootfs.tar.gz in /boot/zImage.bin. It dates from March 2008 so might be a working kernel for altboot.
