What kernel? Is this usbgadget mode?
Running through a virtual machine is sometimes difficult with USB but
usually works.
Where are you running modprobe g_ether on the Beqgle Board on the Ubuntu
or on the Mac???
Please take the time to explain your problem carefully and then maybe we
