I notice that you seem to be missing an equal sign in your mmcroot setting.

Yet, your setting ended up as:

> mmcroot /dev/mmcblk0p2 rw

 

All other settings in your file have an equal sign between the parameter name 
and the setting.

 

Could this be part of the problem?
