Tom, I did tell you the check_if_this_item_needs_inclusion(item) function will get slightly complex didn't I? Are you just checking for True? then yes, that's a way to handle it. That's the part that decides that you need to check even deeper into your data. You might even need a switch statement (Handle with care label attached here!)
