Hi all! So I just got back from ng-conf and had a fantastically great time. There was a ton of inspiring energy from the community, incredible talks, and a lot of important updates on where things are going with Angular. I'm super excited about the future of this framework. Igor's talk on community was particularly inspiring, which brings me to my point: I'd like to schedule a monthly working group/hack night meetup for anyone interested in helping to improve Angular. The existing NYC Angular meetup is really great, but it's very presentation/talk focused and has grown rather large. I'd like to see a smaller, more focused event aimed at people that want to help out. There's a lot of work to be done, the more the merrier.
Anyway, I've gone ahead and set up just such a meetup group here<http://www.meetup.com/angular-working-group-nyc/> and a (currently unscheduled, date to come soon) inaugural meetup event here<http://www.meetup.com/angular-working-group-nyc/events/162197542/>. We're close to having space lined up and we're working on the date, but I should have more details soon. If you're interested, please join the meetup group and we'll let you know when we set a date. Feel free to suggest any ideas, improvements, etc. Is this something that people are interested in? Are you excited about the prospect of something like this happening? Let me know. Is this a terrible idea? You can let me know if that's the case as well. Regardless, feedback is welcome.
