Hi Kasper, Debugging IE8 is a real PITA!, I consider myself lucky that I don't have to anymore (for a long time..) What happens if you put a console.log() (or even an alert) in the getDescription function?
If it still fails, you can create a small directive that uses plain JS to insert the HTML into the template, let me know if you need this.
