[AngularJS] Using Directive to set ClassName

I am trying to apply a css to an element using Directive:
<div format-Filterspanel>

app.directive('formatFilterspanel', 
  function() {
    return {
      restrict: 'AEC',
      link: function(scope, element, attrs ) {
         // Cannot come up with anything that would work
      }
    };
}); 

can someone please help?
