Hi Jonathan,

It does not make sense indeed. The main difference between ngIf and ngShow 
is that ngIf introduced a new scope, and removes its contents from the DOM. 
This raises some doubt. It can be that there is some logic inside the 
ngShow that triggers the issue you are experiencing. 
I would love to see a plunker recreating this tough!
