To fully answer this, the issue with *ngRoute *is that it looks for the existence of *replaceState*() and *pushState*() functions on the window.history object. Those functions are defined on the Outlook client's window.history object, but they just throw 'unspecified error' when used which is what you're seeing. If you set those functions to *null*, *ngRoute *works. It doesn't persist the history, but that doesn't make any sense in an Outlook client app anyways.
