Never too early or late to start. One of the challenging things I encountered was the tutorials or videos were obsolete from current version(s) of ng, or seemed markedly trivial from even remotely useful real world examples. One or two were manageable but I definitely had to draw on knowledge other than pure ng; i.e. Add a web api data source in lieu of a twitter feed. I wouldn't call myself an expert by any stretch but to say that it is possible. If you have any concrete questions the forum is pretty good about responding. Hth
