The basic idea would be to allow the following syntax:

app.directive('child', function() {return {
  require: 'parent',
  controller: function(parentController) {
    // parentController is automatically injected and relies on a specified 
naming convention (directive.name + "Controller").
  }
}

This is certainly less verbose than a linking function, and feels like a 
more natural place to inject parentController anyways.
