paper was written back in 2007 you may find it of some interest; it's main 
premise is that no aspect of presentation logic runs on the server, instead 
it should all be on the browser/client, which is what AngularJS and other 
JS MV* frameworks allow you to do.  /Tony
 
PS: JSON+REST (instead of XML+SOAP) is the preferred mechanism for sharing 
data between client and server now.
