I would generally guess that that's the way to do it. There is NO SAVE BUTTON on my screen. Only Fork, New and run, along with icons for beautify: save as template: save to favorites: download as zip. . When I run it, it works as expected. The zip contains the project files, the save to favorites saves and empty project.
I'm sort of out of ideas ... aside from starting a new project.
