You dont need to convince me.
I still use JavaScript every day.
The language is simply a nightmare. Yes I know most of JavaScripters dont
wanna hear that. But that the reality.
As soon as you have more than one person working on a JS project it becomes
a mess.

That some of the smartest engineers in the world are trying to comeu p with
a decent solution (be it TypeScript, Closure Compiler, Dart, GWT, etc ..)
should be proof enough that there is something fundamentally wrong with the
current state of the language.
There is simply tooo many ways to shoot yourself in the foot.

And I m glad the standard is trying to fix some of the issues.
