Hi Dave,

Where did you assign a value to your variable value?
try this instead:
<input type="radio" ng-model="data.formData.alert" value="1" ng-value="1" 
ng-change='radioValue(data.formData.alert)'>

The model is readily available in your controller, do a 
console.log($scope.data.formData) in your controller's radiioValue funtion.
