Hi Dave,

Well, as you are new, I should really refer you to the styleguide 
<https://github.com/johnpapa/angular-styleguide>. Read that in its 
entirety. 
You are on the right way. But to keep your stuff as DRY as possible, I 
think you want to move things you now have in controllers into services. 
Keep your controllers as small as possible. the only responsibility they 
should have is mediate between your controllers and your view.
Also try avoiding using $scope as much as possible, make use off the 
controllerAs functionality. While we are there, you should also try to 
avoid using ngController. Both of those tips, will make your code more 
maintainable, by providing better locality, and stimulating expressiveness.
