Hi Fabian, The templateURL's template from a directive is only fetched once, and then cached in $templateCache. It always loads async from your directives view. Most advanced users use a tool like angular-template-cache <https://github.com/miickel/gulp-angular-templatecache> to pre-populate the $templatecache during build time. That way, there is no extra request when using the template.
