Here is a simple data service 
<http://plnkr.co/edit/4at5T8FESxH2z0Fwn6Ah?p=preview>. The use is actually 
not different from using $http in your controller. The thing is, that if 
you ever have to add some post/pre processing to your model, you now have 
just 1 place to do it.
Or just about anything you might want to add modify for that matter.
