Yes I think this is what "angular-deferred-bootstrap" is aiming for, but with the advantage of providing an angular way to do it. It's like a double bootstrap, first a very small bootstrap, which give access to angular code and functions, then, the real application bootstrap. I'll try the plugin tomorrow I think, and if it's not working as expected I'll try to do it manually.
