I am also very interested in that method of creating menus from a list. It
may solve a lot of problems...
If you send a plunker, I would be studying it carefylly
Thanks

Runnable code (Plunker, JSBin) is worth more than thousand words ;-)
Hard to see what your actual problem is.

I have a menu that is created from a list of objects, each object
containing the various properties of an individual menu item. The menu is
created via Controller1.
One of the object properties is 'foo' which contains a string. When a menu
item is selected, its href points it to a url that is associated with
Controller2. I need to set '$bar = foo' within Controller2.
I've gone around in circles with this and I keep getting tripped up by the
fact that I'm not storing foo when generating the menu. If I could store it
somewhere, I don't know how I would pass it to Controller2. I think I need
a service here but, again, I don't see how to pass the appropriate foo to
Controller2 when a menu selection is made.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
