12+ Months Harrisburg, PA(Locals ONLY) Phone and Face to Face MUST * ONLY CANDIDATES THAT CAN INTERVIEW IN PERSON WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION* *Project Description:* This project is a long term (1 year) enhancement to PennDOT’s existing Engineering & Construction Management System (ECMS) application. The enhancement will allow Municipalities to invoice for reimbursed federal funds through ECMS. This is a Java/J2EE application using DB2 databases and WebSphere Application Server 7 (WAS7). The system uses a custom-built Java framework. *Required Skills/Experience:* • Object Oriented Programming Experience. • Java Enterprise Edition (experience with Eclipse and/or Rational Application Developer – minimum 5 years). • Database Programming/SQL Experience with major DBMS (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) (Minimum 3 years’ experience). • Web Services Experience (SOAP, RESTful) • Superior analysis and troubleshooting skills. • Superior oral and written communication skills. *Preferred Skills/Experience:* • Java Certification. • Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate). • Messaging Experience (MQ/JMS). • XML Experience (XML, XSD, XSLT). • IBM Rational Tool Suite (i.e. Clear Quest/Clear Case, Manual Tester/Functional Tester) Training/Experience. • IBM Websphere Experience. • Previous PennDOT Application Development Experience and knowledge of PennDOT Systems & Standards. *Task Assignments:* 1. Perform advanced java development tasks 2. Provide advanced programming skills to high priority IT Portfolio Projects as directed. 3.
