I've modified the normal example with heros etc. - looking at rc5 I've created a component - a MD icon component. This is referenced in the root module. the component is detected correctly app.component but when used in submodule component & route it isnt detected. example in the screen is you can see the flower icon at the bottom of the page (inside app.component) but you can see (when in crisis center) the icon isnt picked up - its just the text (so hasn't been detected as a component). Am I just missing something here about intentions? I thought that the parent nature of the root module meant the component should be available here too inside the sub modules. when i try to add to submodules i get the error that it already exists in root module so is this a bug? any help would be appreciated!
