Hi Alec, I will be facing a simuliar problem soon(ish). While looking ahead, I did read in on Git submodules <https://git-scm.com/book/nl/v2/Git-Tools-Submodules>. Perhaps its of use to you. When you check it out, and it turns out good (or not so good) can you please provide some feedback?
