App-shell, eh? Never heard of this. Thanks for the link. I will do some readings. I do have a question though...and feel free to point me back to that link. I like what you're saying and that sort of functionality is exactly what I will be implementing but is there some reason why this isn't an Angular2 resource? I mean, it would seem strange that what I am doing is unusual and I suspect wrong in some way (or configured incorrectly).
