Just to add, I have found this http://tomcat.10.x6.nabble.com/How-to-write-a-correct-HTTP-request-to-Tomcat-8-5-4-instance-td5054729.html in summary, it wonders if the correct end of line is being sent. I was running beta16 of angular2 and then upgraded to beta32 and now 1.rc4. And these problems started around the time of leaving beta16. Is there something I was supposed to change for the later versions? I really do not think the problem is at the grails end but it is obvious I do need help on this.
