I can't find any mention on the documentation. The feature was implemente in this issue https://github.com/angular/angular.js/issues/6404 and is available in since 1.4 but neither https://code.angularjs.org/snapshot/docs/api/ng/service/$compile nor https://code.angularjs.org/snapshot/docs/guide/directive mention it. So the question is: is it safe to use this?
